We recently bought a house back in here between Staring and Kenilworth. Wanted a big yard. Like the quiet established neighborhood feel. But I'm scared shitless about the neighborhood tbh. Lot of really old people and empty houses. Yeah it's an established neighborhood with big yards and a lot of trees, but once these old people start dying off, it could get grim over here quick. I'm hanging all my hopes and dreams on the Superior Grill

White oak landing and Shenandoah??? Your comparing those to highland? Next were going to say woodstone and woodgate must be undesirable because look what happened to broadmoor, Tara and Sherwood Forest.

There are 3 homes for sale in woodstone and woodgate. They average $500k and are $150/sf

All of those older neighborhoods off highland aren't as desirable as they once were. Look how white oak landing and Shenandoah have been rapidly declining for years now.
I've seen several slams on the B R area in general by you- over the last couple of years - where is your desired hood?

Yeah I mean a lot of them back in here need a lot of work. Just old houses is the bottom line.

The problem, imo, is most were built in the 70's/80's. Small closets, shite materials, ugly designs.

Desired hood is outside of EBR, and if you can, outside of the state.

Clearly you have no clue what you are talking about. White Oak Landing and Shenandoah are nowhere near Highland.

From what I've read, it sounds like the "home invasion"/beating took place on Wylie, but the crimes started in Woodstone where there was a burglary or burglaries and they abandoned their original stolen car. They fled to a house on Wylie, then beat up the homeowner when he arrived home, stole his car, and abandoned that one in University Acres near Highland Elementary. So multiple neighborhoods were crime scenes.

And no, I would not consider Woodstone & University Acres bad neighborhoods at all.

I know what happened Dorothy and what I said has nothing to do with whether a crime occurred on Wylie or not.
