I live in the 'Dell and don't want to get robbed. I think my house is prewired for an alarm system. I just want to get a basic alarm system - don't want to pay for a monitoring service and all that crap. Anyone know of a decent alarm installation company on the Northshore that won't rape me?

ETA: My former neighbor and his daughter who used to babysit my kids just got busted for a meth lab in Washington parish. They were normal people living in my gated subdivision 10 years ago. You never know who to trust anymore. LINK

My mother is in Slidell. We used AT&T. She pays the monthly monitoring but installation wasn't bad at all.
