They've got around 1500 employees, or did when they started this in 2013. They're still operating in Holacracy. I think most companies considering this are watching them pretty closely.

In Holacracy, there are no managers. Do you read?

Lol.
Good one.

No titles, no way to rank your worth against someone else, no way to judge your worth.
The premise is the opposite. You are given very specific roles, with very specific accountabilities. These are measurable. Your worth to the company is contingent on the roles you're performing, and whether or not you are performing up to the measurements set. And your wages are contingent upon that. Perform better, then make more money than same person with same roles that underperform, as opposed to across the board raises.

Actually, factions of the military have been practicing a form of this, which I was shocked to read.
quote:
For years, pockets of the U.S. military have been slowly taking decisions out of the hands of high-ranking commanders and entrusting them to teams of soldiers, who (armed with the concept of “commander’s intent”) are told what problems to solve—but not how to solve them. “The organization as a rigidly reductionist mechanical beast is an endangered species,” General Stanley McChrystal writes in his new book, Team of Teams. “The traditional heroic leader may not be far behind.”

That's probably in the form of a lower ranking individual having to stand in for the commander while gone. Like I'm the CDO at night when the commander leaves for the day and I have a team of watch officers. We make the decisions in his place

I dont care what operating system a company uses. Thirteen year olds like you must come to understand that leadership isnt always democratic. As my drill sergeant in the Army said, "we are here to preserve democracy, not practice it."

A. Tech companies make hardware too. Hardware used by everyone.
B. The military uses the most advanced software and hardware in the world.
C. I didn't say I support whatever Holocracy is.
