A good read for those that were fans of the "Coney Island of the South", Ponchatrain Beach, and Six Flags.

I didn't realize they were planning on building an adjacent water park included in the price of admission to Six Flags.

Apparently they were going to announce the water park at the end of August 2005.

I advise everyone to check out Jason Laniers videos of the abandoned six flags in new orleans. It's interesting and creepy to watch. Especially if you had been before

Livingston Parish is not New Orleans.
FYI, Walt set up tons of shell companies to divert attention from where he was really going to buy land.

True story. Disney would be in NO or the vicinity had local leaders not leaked it to their families and shady business partners and jacked up all the prices on the land.

You know, I've never seen any pictures of Six Flags New Orleans in operation. I've only ever seen pictures of it abandoned.

Loved Pontchartrain Beach. My dad was the repairman for the calliope that provided music on the Flying Horses carousel. I would go with him just before the beach opened for the season and got to ride all the rides free. So much fun.
