German machine named Kettenkreffen or something of the sort.
Close. Its a Kettenkrad. They were also used for towing planes.

I think at least saw combat with the Dutch in their East Indies against Japan.
Yep. The ones for the Flying Tigers weren't used operationally. The factory that was to assemble them got overran before they were ready.
The Japanese captured some of the Dutch aircraft intact, tested them, and later used at least one them as a squadron hack.

Damn... Again? Let me see...
Try this one. It's hard to find pictures of this one that don't also show it's national markings.

LSU got that one...although I suspect some reverse searching going on...

German HE-177B. A variant of Germany's only WW2 heavy bomber.
The original He-177 also had 4 engines, but used two paired to drive one prop on each wing - but the tandem configuration had the nasty habit of running so hot they caught fire. This model mounted the engines into a traditional layout.

Sorry, I'd missed this. That a Martin B-10 bomber. It was used by the US Army Air Corps in the 1930's & early 40's.

Well from left to right, that's a Zero, a CW-21 (probably captured from the Dutch), and B-17.

That first plane, on the left, is not a Zero. The B-17 is obvious - wasn't sure of the middle one.

I meant Dutch operated (prior to their capture). To my knowledge, the only Dutch-built combat aircraft used in the East Indies were Dornier Flying Boats used very effectively as bombers and anti-submarine aircraft.

Spiff, you at work? I can't see some of these because they're Photobucket images that are blocker by my work filters.

Yeah - I said Zero? I guess I meant Kate (bomber) - pretty sure that's a Kate.
The Japs loved them some straight leading edge wing profiles.
ETA: Maybe not a Kate - the tail isn't right. Is that another captured Allied plane?

Reverse image search? shite most of the answers are right in the URLs for the pics.

That, or maybe a Val. Not sure on the Kate because of the cowling... But I am not an expert on Japanese a/c.
