What army do the soldiers (and dogs) belong to?
Some type of Alpine troops, maybe Italian or Austrian?

Argentine Mausers, captured by the Brits in the Falklands?

Nope.
When y'all guess the answer, it will be obvious.

These were used in a World War. Now, for who used them and what country captured them. As for the country these rifles went to, good luck. It wasn't too long ago.
Based on your clues, I'll guess captured by the US in either Iraq or Afghanistan with a heavy lean towards Afghanistan - having been sent there in WW2 by the Abwehr for use by the locals in stirring up trouble for the British.

They were actually Belgian troops.

Here's another aircraft....
Is that a French Bleriot monoplane?

Gonna get this thing going with the era following WWI for now.
What is the name of this plane and what is it known for?

Supermarine S-6 racer.
It was the inspiration for the Spitfire fighter.

I cannot think of the name but it's a British seaplane racer from the late 20's - early 30's. I say British due to the markings on the tail. At that time the fastest aircraft were actually seaplanes so I'm going to guess it held a world speed record for a time.

Now something up my alley...
That's the Devestator made by Douglas, TBD-1. It was a poor performer and severely outclassed. Most of the squadron was shot down at Midway.

correct. They were state of the art when introduced in 1937 but in only a few years they were totally obsolete (goes to show how fast aircraft development was then). At Midway they failed to inflict any damage while being almost completely wiped out. I will say though that it was not all their fault since at that time the Mark 13 torpedo was a piece of shite.
Side-note: Even though it's got a bad reputation, this is one of my favorite all time aircraft. One of my oldest models is a Devastator. I'm at work so I have no pics but this what my version looks like...

Can't see the pic, but it's a Monogram model, right? I had one as a kid that I had for a long time until it was broken and suffered the firecracker fate...

That's the one. Mine is over 30 years old. It's literally one of the oldest and last possessions I've got left from my childhood.

I have a few left over - a F-4 Phantom "Black Bunny", and a few others. They are all over at Dad's. Kind of fitting that they stay there...

Great Britain.
(The white colored gun skirts are the giveaway.)
Along those lines.... What ship is this?
