BB-63 Mighty Moe. USS Missouri

Name that Ship...
Northampton class, treaty cruiser.

What significant historic event took place aboard this ship?
Oh - CA-31, USS Augusta.
Lots of stuff - it was Roosevelt's flagship.
Are you looking for the Atlantic Charter? Or as flagship for Torch and Overlord?
Or any of the other umpteen famous events for the ship.
Should have been preserved - out of all the cruisers of the war... it's a shame. No Big E, no surviving examples, even of a Northampton and neither Portland survived (Indy was famously sunk and Portland was crapped like Augusta), either, which would have been close.

U.S.S. Missouri?
No, that ship is a pre-WWII Northampton class cruiser. The Missouri was a Iowa class battle ship built during WWII.

Had to guess on that one...
I thought it might have been a heavy cruiser, but I went the lazy way and said the Missouri.
