Mine too. Now as an adult, I can't watch it because it's just so bad. Same way for the movie 'Midway'.

Try watching the classic movie Patton and watching the Germans use American made M48's that did not exist at the time.

I don't recognize him. That does look like a Marine rife marksman badge on his uniform though.

The Army used that marksmanship badge early in the 20th century as well...

The old movies had a lot of mistakes and that can be excused to a degree due to limitations on the technology they had then. But remember the movie Pearl Harbor from a few years ago? There was no excuse for all the mistakes they made.

Ahhhh. I do. That's Gen Billy Mitchell. I've never seen a young picture of him before.

That movie should have never been made. And what is funny (sad) is that some of it went totally against history.

I was really fired up to see it. Went opening night. Walked out of the theater wanting to go dig up Walt Disney and punch him in the face.

Yep. Back at the turn of the century it was common for racetracks to be made from wood. There were a number of them from coast to coast..

Most modern war movies are that way. Have yet to see a new one that doesn't fit history to what they think the audience wants to see.
