I agree that the missionaries' presence could explain lots of things. If it had been a Roman or German artifact, but this looks to be indigenous. In any event, the missionaries could have commissioned it. Small communities could have converted and been responsible for these, without suggesting widespread conversion of Danish Vikings.
But, it is interesting, regardless of the implications.

I agree, based on the similarity to the image on the rock from some fifty years later. Also, I don't think that Christian missionaries would have needed to commission the creation of religious symbols from the Danish Vikings.
