I’ve got to where I book multiple hotel rooms at multiple hotels in multiple parishes when a hurricane is supposed to come through. If I’m without power, I have options. Those options are nice to have in case of me or more of the hotels are without power/backup. I found ones that don’t charge ahead of time and have a great cancellation policy.

During Laura our power wasn't ever off until they started working on other streets around us, that were out. They'd shut it down for a day, turn it own for half a day, then shut it down until they got something done. We had as many as four times in a day where it would be out for an hour, then come back on. We were seeing the trucks coming through the neighborhood on those days.
