I follow him on Twitter. He and his son have been letting them have it for months. Also Herschel suffers from some mental health issues that I am sure to be broadcast at length now.

if he gets any press for his comments, they’ll likely cap the discussion with exactly that. “Mr Walker has been suffering from _____ in the recent years”. Which is pathetic, but is our current state of media.

Kneeling and anti-kneeling wasn’t part of the culture. That was one guy starting a movement with a false premise.
A better example would have been the change in perception of muslims, but I don’t expect you to be anything other than contrarian.

The "prevailing culture" was to stand for the national anthem at public sporting events (ETA: among fans, at least, it almost certainly still is). Then someone spoke and acted against it.

I remember an article about him that SI did while he was in college and the dude was a true freakish athlete. He could do 22 one arm pull ups with each arm. That’s amazing. Plus 1,000 sit ups and push ups everyday.

And played most of the Sugar Bowl against ND with a separated shoulder. Still gained like 150 yards.....
