I guess we should all just do what your grandfather did? Die in the line of duty so the poor criminals can go free.

Exactly!

When will these people learn, quit breaking the damn law and comply with an officer's requests?

One less criminal to worry about, I guess.

WTF? Maybe because they aren't military! They don't roll in units with Air support, drone intel, and the same gear as military. In war, our guys walk around expecting to be shot at. I would think that a cop doesn't wake up every day expecting bullets to fly his way. I think that cops have become too militarized as it is. Let's not start putting military engagement procedures on them as well.

Probably why we lose too many soldiers. I say shoot first, ask questions later.

You're race baiting. I don't give a shite if you're black or white, and i'm sorry about your grandfather, but you have already shown that you don't believe the officer. Why doesn't he deserve a chance?

Instead of waiting for the facts and evidence to come out you've already made up your mind. Why not take a step back and evaluate the situation with an unbiased mind?

Why should we continue to give the benefit of the doubt to a entity that keeps trying to do everything in its power to lose thAt trust?

what a telling statement.

An environment has been created where normal law abiding folks 'wouldn't last a week', and the population wears that like a badge of honor. Then when the police take action in this same life threatening environment, everyone is appalled.

So either: 1) folks that say this are full of shite or 2) they should be thanking the police for taking out predators.

Killing people. People in those communities already don't trust the police. They think they are very unreliable and unresponsive to their issues.

Interesting inner city/suburban dynamic. It's very interesting to hear their reasons about distrusting the police. It's just not all etched in racial profiling and brutality. Some point to apathy and lack of patrols.

It's just convenient for him to say that. He knows the game and will say whatever necessary to save his own skin.

It happens all the time, it is happening more now since Ferguson. Suspects feel that the media and a lot of the public will defend them no matter what. It is convenient for the them I guess. This is what America has become. Take the side of the criminals on the streets. Keep doing that and crime will go up and then you will complain about the police
