When I caught, if the batter fell over the plate while a guy was stealing, I'd go out of my way to make contact and then make the throw. I'd have my mask off yelling about the interference to the home plate ump before the ball made it to second. You gotta sell it, but it can be an easy out. Especially if the runner got a good jump.

they believe the catcher is doing it on purpose to get the free out.
OT lawyers, if it can be proven that the coach / catcher are intentionally hitting opposing players to get the out, does that expose the catcher, her parents, the coach, and school to liability for ordinary negligence or intentional torts if the opposing (hit) player gets injured? There is no assumption of the risk in LA, right? And, no comparative fault for intentional torts, rights? Are there carve outs for sports?

should the batter remain in the batter's box while their teammates are attempting to steal?
yes that is the rule, batter should remain in the box, if he steps out and gets in catchers way it is an out

pitcher throws a wild pitch high. no signal from the ump if this is a walk or strikeout. just a "ball".
Poor description, it’s not a wild pitch since the catcher caught the ball.
It’s an obvious ball and it appears to be a straight steal, and it’s not ball four.
The batter obviously is where he shouldn’t be when the ball hit him. If he stayed in the box nothing would have happened,
Good call by the ump.

The batter is out for interference. The batter has a right to his spot in the box, but if he moves and impacts the throw he is called out for interference unless the attempt (at third) is successful. -High School Umpire

Also, the batter won't be called for interference unless there is a reasonable chance of the runner being thrown out.
Incorrect, if the catcher makes an attempt to put out the runner and is interfered with, the batter is out and runner goes back. No judgement on whether the runner would have been out or not.
