quote:Then you should definitely have a cleanout somewhere. Just look around outside the front of your house. It will most likely be under the grass somewhere, not under the driveway. If you have a wall in your house that share multiple waste discharge points, you may want to start by projecting the line of that wall out to the exterior.
Built in 2006.
LA One Call will not do anything unless you are planning an excavation.

Find the 4" vent pipe on the roof and the sewer line should line up with that vent at the front of the house going out to the street.

Are you having sewer back up in your house? if so what ever started backing up first should be closest to the clean out, look closely at that exterior wall, it may be covered with grass, dirt, flower bed, etc

Call a plumber to give it a good rheam job this first time. You can learn what to do by this and handle it yourself next go round.-

This may sound crazy but I've seen technicians at a major chemical plant with tens of thousands of dollars of specialized equipment at there disposal use this shite. I could not believe it.

If you live in city limits call the city pubic operations. This is a free service to check their side of the line first. Your insurance will want you to do this first anyway.
I'm going through this as we speak. I just had all of my floors pulled up yesterday because my waste line broke under my slab in my kitchen...

Mine was about 30 feet away from the house in the backyard. Our house was built in '67 and is the last one on our road connected to sewer. The other 5 are all on Septic Tanks. But the line ran on a diagonal away from our house to the main sewer line. The cap was near our property line, about 10 feet away from the sewer. There is nothing inside the house or right outside of it. Look around in your yard. It may be hidden by something.

quote:On most current homes the cleanout is 2 feet from the foundation, in a line that runs from the home to the city sewer line out under the street. It's common for the cleanout to be hidden by shrubs or buried by turf.

If you suspect tree roots are plugging the line, rent a mechanical drain snake. Otherwise try a sewer jetter.
