Could you imagine consuming some drinks on a plane just to get pulled over on way home and get a DUI?

How is this hard to imagine?

What if it was a transatlantic flight and when the cop asked when you started drinking, you told him "About two hours from now"

If you tell the cops that you drank the drinks on the plane, there's nothing they can do. They don't have jurisdiction over the skies.

I have not, but I certainly could have.

Where were you coming back from?

I was on a flight from Houston to Lafayette and this oilfield baw was coming off his shift. He was slamming Jack the on the way back. Flight attendant cut him off so the old baw in the seat behind him claimed to be his Dad and said he was the DD.
I lost count of exactly how may of those small bottles he had but it had to be 7-8 during the short 45 minute flight.

I don't think it works that way....

What do you think? There's sky pigs, who are gonna get sky warrants? Nah man, up there anything goes and there's no evidence that you did anything. They got nothing.

The "Sky Pigs"* need to stick to the pilots. Enough of those dudes are drunk or stoned.
*My buddy is an Air Marshal. I can NOT wait to call him a Sky Pig. Many thanks.

I've gotten hammered in the airport on long layovers and only had an hour or so flight. I don't drink and drive but never thought about it from that perspective.

How this any different than any other DUI situation?
Posted on 4/28/16 at 2:09 pm to Paul Allen
A guy in my DUI class got one about 10 minutes after landing in Baton Rouge. He was from NY and had to stay here to do pre-trial.
The worst thing for him was he was driving someone else's car. He didn't have a car here so he had to carry a breathalyzer around in a back pack and blow into it three times a day.

He must have gotten hammered on the layover and forgot it was a short flight because it's an hour or less to BTR from anywhere it flies.
