Yeah, I've seen one. And then he got arrested for armed robbery and attempted murder.

In his defense, he was from Deville. Da Parish looks pretty refined, comparatively.

My mom brought me to several when I was a kid. All of them told her I was normal and either she needed counciling or to give me more space.

I love my mom, she just nags and worries herself into a frenzy about things she can't control.

One time.

The physiologist was kinda hot though and I thought it best to not go back.

I went to marriage counseling for two years (by myself) trying to save my marriage. Counseling can work, but not if you're the only one willing to use it.

it was more of a transformational workshop and it was outstanding!!!

It'd probably further the cause of mental health to not think about it in that way. It's a messed up world and a lot of people are not mentally healthy and even more are "okay" ie, just getting by, but could benefit from it.

This. I've been before a few times and it was very helpful IMO.

But just like anything, if it doesn't feel right (or the therapist jumps too quickly to trying to medicate you) definitely try for a second opinion.

20 years ago I went for marriage counseling. I sat quietly and listened while my wife explained her side of our issues. I remained quiet while the hooker err counselor across the table told me why I was such a horrible person and what I needed to do to fix it.

I stood up and replied with one word, "Prenup.." and walked out. My wife and I are happily married to this day.

Counseling is for victims. I'm not a victim.
