I used to sleep in my car all the time at work back at my old job when I didn't feel like doing anything.
Sleeping with the seat reclined is pretty comfortable

Sleeping in the back of an extended cab 93 Z71 is possibly the closest one can get to returning to the womb

When I was six or seven. My mom had just graduated college after her time in the military. She bought a van and we lived in it for the summer until she found her first teaching job in Houston. Stayed at the KOA until she ran out of money. Then we we stayed at hospitals and rest stops. For a while, we stayed camped near the Trinity River. So I, in fact, did actually live in a van down by the river.

Yes, in a bar’s parking lot after too many drinks. And, once when sleeping in a tent and the weather got kind of stormy and I did not feel safe in the tent.

I've done it drunk once or twice. woke up with a neck ache and regret

Many times, never more than 1 day in a row, and probably always with various degrees of drunkenness. Also every time that I can recall involved a certain degree of stupidity.
One example was Jazz Fest 2001. Shitfaced. Could have easily gotten a hotel room but drove around anyway and ended up pulling over on the interstate toward BR and sleeping. Still vaguely recall the car rocking whenever a big rig would pass by

I slept in my car one night.
Had tickets to an LSU game back in '02 I think it was. Had a hotel for the Saturday night. Well Pat Green was playing at the varsity Friday night so I thought I would go and then get a place to stay not realizing that a small hurricane had come through that week and many people were without power. The closest available hotel was Jackson MS.
So i decided to crash a few hours in my car. Slept in the east campus apartment parking lot. Got up around sunrise and went and took a shower for $5 at a port allen truck stop then began to drink for game day.
Ahhh to be young again.

My mother bought a Chevy Vega station wagon for work back in the 70's. She was a home school teacher and kept her books in the back. During the summer and even fall would put the back seat down, voila instant bed. Put a few outdoor furniture pads on the deck and you were ready to bounce the shocks.

1) Yes/No? Yes
2) Reason: Exploration or Financial? Lack of sleep
3) Length of Time: Number of days/nights? Until I hit the tree
4) Comfort: How did you make the best of it? Very much so during the nap. No so much when I was woken up.

1. yes
2. i was homeless
3. 2 months
4. had a fullsize mattress in the back, used pillows and blankets to block the windows for privacy when i slept. showered at friends apartments and the gym. lived out of a duffle bag and a plastic tub of clothes. i killed time during the day by going to class and then staying on campus until it closed for the night
