re: Have you ever just thought about how annoying the fricking news is everyday?

Some viewers love the echo-chamber effect of their favorite cable news networks. A nasty, negative comment made by a host or a panelist on television justifies a hateful viewer's bigoted outlook on life. "If they're saying it on TV, it must be okay to think it!"
News tells some what to fear, what to hate, what to buy...
The harder the people in my life lean into Fox News Channel and conservative talk radio, the more I tune it out.
Distance yourself from the media circus and you'll soon see how we're all being taken for a ride, regardless of political affiliation.

You think it is just women? I know many men who leave the news on all day. My dad leaves Newsmax running on his phone 24/7, even when he has visitors. It is the most depressive shite. It is always something catastrophic. Shits gotta rot your brain.
My mom constantly reminds me and my siblings how my grandfather died early because (in her opinion) he had such a negative view on life and was pessimistic about everything.
She says this to us while she enters hour 5 of that days fox news programming.

I can avoid the news for the most part. It's more difficult to avoid the now year-round political ads. They're all fricking obnoxious regardless of party affiliation.

My significant other recently introduced a family member, already a very bigoted and negative person, to Fox News Channel.
She takes a few moments at every family event since to tell us of the latest outrage or crime against the white race; she even regularly uses the term "Woke," now.
Fox News Channel finds ways to make miserable people even less fun to be around.

Have you seen CNN lately? Liberal media is the absolute worst and is the downfall of this country

I haven't watched any news in 2+ yrs.
Quite a bit longer for me both on the national level and local level.
Hell, nothing but violence and other forms of mayhem going on in N.O. right now.
Then there's far too many so-called news agencies that are more comfortable making up the news to fit their agenda than reporting it as it truly happens by putting their stink on it.

It’s not all FOX News and you know it. There is as much outrage and hysteria on CNN and MSNBC. Ever more so when Trump was in office.
