Is that sort of when the VP does something that causes the company a few mil in legal fees then finally finds something that costs the company around $50k and uses that as the reasoning for no one getting raises and we need to hunker down and start cutting costs?

Had 3 big circle the wagon meetings in the early 2000's. Survived all 3 layoffs.
