Y’all literally can’t comprehend caring about people different than you.
See, that’s the thing. I do care. I want them to get the help they need and deserve. I don’t believe in egging on mental illness like you freaks do.
They need help because they have a severe mental issue that needs treatment. You freaks are the ones who want to egg on mental illness and parade them around like your little circus animal. “Ohhh look, I have the latest model. It is what they call, a DID system! Not only is it trans! It has 7 other “identities”! I’m so understanding!”
You take advantage of mentally ill individuals and make them your “pet project” instead of getting them the help and treatment they need and deserve.
Unfortunately, years after they mutilate their bodies and realize they are still depressed and hate their bodies, they end up killing themselves.
And you, the “high and mighty” move right on to your next pet project to show how cool and “understanding” you are to your fellow clown show.
You and your ilk are, quite literally, the lowest vermin on this planet.

Did psychiatric intervention alone work for patients with Gender Dysphoria?

You should really talk to some in person before you go spouting off and see what they say about this.

Republican pretend to be the real world reasonable party until it comes to guns. “Oh guns don’t kill people, people kill people” yes, with guns. If you’re fighting for your life do you want a gun or a friend? Remember that gun can’t kill anyone.
So we should also ban knives, planes, vehicles… etc. Right?
quote:
You’re soooooo close. Read that sentence and see if there is another object involved that we could ban and help prevent that problem.
Go ahead, enlighten me.

Republicans: if we let them marry we’ll have to decriminalize pedophilia, it’s a slippery slope!
There have been efforts to “de-stigmatize” pedophiles. They have even said that they choose to be called MAP (minor attracted people). So yes, it is something they will and have tried to normalize.
quote:
Also Republicans: OMG, I how Can you say there is a connection between selling guns and people killing people with guns?!?!?!?
Just so we’re clear, you genuinely believe that the reason murder happens is because of guns?

You groomers are the worst humans alive. What a horrible take in this thread.
Hey dumbass, it is YOUR ILK that commit the vast majority of gun crimes in this country. Are your fellow voters too stupid to practice impulse control, or is that someone else's fault too.
This is what happens to your brain when you believe false narrative after false narrative. You can no longer distinguish what is right or real.
Yeah, it is the fault of conservatives. Of course.

It is a mental illness. Unlike other mental illnesses, we encourage them to submit wholly to that what their mental illness makes them want to do rather than seeking counseling/help like all other mental illnesses.

We want these people out of our institutions because they're weird, leftist, groomers, etc., yet we want them protecting our kids by giving them guns. In what world does this even make sense? That's not a weird whataboutism...that's just plain idiocy.
That's fair, although I think it's just a reasonable counter to the gun argument specifically than any meaningful double standard (particularly as I'm not sure most of the "anti-groomer" crowd is also convinced of the utility of arming teachers).
quote:
We call our teachers predators, groomers, leftist, pedophiles, yet celebrate a 15 year old boy getting raped by his 26 year old teacher because she's "legit". The double standards are ridiculous, and should be called out.
This is an OT thing and schtick based. That aside, we should speak honestly and recognize that a 16 year old HS boy having sex with a 26 year old attractive teacher is probably not, in and of itself, going to have the same impact of vice versa. The punishment probably shouldn't be any different, but the idea that we need to think of a 16 year old boy and a 16 year old girl the same because it's sexist/unfair to do otherwise is silly. The very obvious truth to most people is that a 16 year old boy who has multiple sexual partners has a much more likely chance of recovering into a more healthy young adulthood than a similarly positioned girl. We'll pretend this is based on societal judgment instead of inherent differences in the sexual mindsets of men and women because we're stupid.
I don't want to belabor this somewhat gross topic, but I'm going to guess that most of the 25 year old teachers aren't attracted to the 15 year old goth/mentally disturbed and vulnerable boys who might be targeted by the counselor telling them they can be a girl if they want to. But anyway, sure, your lecturing of this board for joking about boys being subject to statutory rape is fair.
quote:
We want to ban books about "teaching boys how to perform oral sex", yet also ban books suchs as Thank you, Jackie Robinson, Crank, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, etc. If it were simply compartmentalized into strictly banning books with content such as "teaching boys how to give oral sex to other boys" as you sate, then I personally wouldn't have an issue. But as stated above, this isn't the case. The double standards are ridiculous and overreaching, and honestly scary that we give this much power to local governments. This is not whataboutism in the slightest. This is reality. Our government is clever. Our government is tricky. Our government has found a way to effectively ban any books & laws they want, under the guise of "protecting" the children. There's a reason why this particular paragraph is longer than others. Banning books about things the particular governing body disagrees with (not just teaching oral sex to minors) is the start of a really, really scary future.
I don't know about every example of book banning. I do know of multiple examples where the "banned" books are because leftists officials and librarians are squeezing harmless things under statutory guidance in order to run to the media and say "Look DeSantis won't even let us read about Jackie Robinson!" Which is a farce. There may be examples where the authorities intentionally targeted things like that, but if you're honest you'd agree that's not the intention of nearly everyone who has my position on this topic.
As for the slippery slope stuff, communities should set standards for what's appropriate for their children. We may not agree on that, I'm not a libertarian-flavored conservative.
quote:
And my original point still stands, that in your own words, "we shouldn't live in the same country as one another" all because you *thought* I wanted to promote the books you described. That's fricking bullshite my man, and I've given examples of banned books that are direct opposite of your examples. Yet, you came to the incredible solution that we shouldn't live in the same country as one another? Sorry guy, but that is "some Poli Board hyperbole", as you said.
Not it's not, see above. I'm not demonizing you. Plenty of people are uncomfortable with morality-based community rules and standards because of the potential for creep/overreach. I'm not.

That's true, that's just a function of the way I write. I get lost in the details really easily and forget what I'm supposed to be answering. I can regurgitate lots of information with degrees of accuracy and can put it together in a clinically useful settings, which is highly rewarded in medical education, but I still struggle with explaining concepts to laypeople.
In conclusion, everyone who disagrees with my views on the subject are just too dumb to understand. Lol

Counseling for starters.
I never said I have the solution. But to say that it is totally normal, and even promotable, for people to allow their dysphoria to then make them get surgeries and treatments that are irreversible and have terrible psychological consequences is just asinine.

But you were sure that rather than an intensive therapy process, patients were just getting pills and surgery immediately?
