The treatment protocols for AN and schizophrenia are more robust, so it seems really benign for me to suggest that management strategies for different diseases are different.

Nah, people with AN should follow the treatment protocol that was developed for people for their condition. Your point might be meaningful if not for the fact that not every disease is managed the same way. This must be a novel concept to you, but it bears repeating. Not every disease or disorder is managed the same way.
