Wut?!

You know who, as a group, has the lowest opinion of socialism, based on the most extensive real-world experience with it? Cuban-Americans. Talk to three of them about their experiences, their families' experiences, the experiences of their relatives still in Cuba, and two of them will give you an earful about that ... 'socialist paradise'. They know socialism as a failed experiment, and are often vocal about it.

I'm trying to wrap my head around a person with a college degree and a "very rather conservative" (which?) Cuban father with whom she's "always had a great relationship", but who "really doesn't seem to understand what socialism is." This just does not make sense. It's weird. It may be a red flag. Maybe suggest that she ask her dad about socialism in the context of Cuba, and follow up. Listen carefully to what she reports back. Then consider carefully where she and you are going.

College educated tend to lean socialism because academia doesn't actually teach the full picture of it.

They only lean away once they take on responsibilities and see how they get railroaded enough as is in capitalism.

Cubans living in America are usually *very* anti-socialism, and usually quite talkative about it.

When they start going to protests it’s time to step away. I wouldn’t date a conservative woman that goes to protests, much less a liberal one.

Haven't read all the previous posts so apologize if this has been covered but please listen to me.
Marriage is hard. Raising children is hard. These things are hard no matter what but they are especially difficult if you and your wife do not agree on basic principles. It's not just politics. You two disagree on basic values and life approaches. The politics and social movements are just the symptoms of a far greater difference in your philosophy and values.
This can't be fixed. The thrill of young love and honeymoon sex will go away and these differences will get deeper and more of an obstacle. Listen to me.

I bet you she won’t. I’d have some serious red flags about this. Is there another dude?

She sounds like a left wing nut job.

Get out now and don’t ever look back.
