Has anyone ever taken a king cake on a flight?

About to fly out of MSY. I want to bring a king cake with me. Is it no big deal to run a king cake through the X-ray machine and carry it on your person on the flight?

Hidden baby will set the alarm off and they’ll have to dig it out. Has happened to me every single time I’ve gone through TSA.

I wonder if on Spirit does it count as a personal item or a carryon.
