Do you live in Baton Rouge? I’ve lived all over and the only city where this happened to me too was Baton Rouge. It is the parking lot Karen capital.

my wife just got the same car as your new one, I think, don't think it even has 2k miles on it yet, she was coming home from work last week and a truck kicked up or had a 2x4 fly off it and hit her car, $3k , the headlight cost almost $1300
