Veterans Dayis tomorrow in honor of the men and women who have donned the uniform defending the United States of America. Part of this great country is a bevy of nationwide restaurants. Many of those restaurants appreciate the sacrifice and generosity given by those who serve. To help thank the troops, they have great deals for all veterans and active duty members. Kick start your day with a free coffee from Starbucks. Starbucks gets a lot of grief for its liberal leanings, but a free coffee is a fantastic way to jump start your day.

Starbucks On Veterans Day, active duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses are invited to enjoy a free tall brewed coffee. Additionally, through November 11, for every Veterans Day Starbucks Card or eGift purchased, Starbucks will contribute $5 to help support programs assisting service members, military spouses and veterans. If you enjoy a nice donut or dislike Starbucks coffee, head on over to Krispy Kremes or Dunkin' Donuts.

Krispy Kreme Doughnut: As a thank you for serving this country, Krispy Kreme will offer a free doughnut and small coffee to veteran or active service members, no purchase required. Dunkin’ Donuts On November 11, Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free doughnut at Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary. If you need to run any errands or pick up house hold items or something for a home improvement project you have options as well. Target, Home Depot, and Bed Bath & Beyond are all having awesome deals for military members and their spouses.

Target: All military personnel, veterans and their families can get 10 percent off through Veterans Day. Bed, Bath & Beyond: Veterans, active duty, reserves and their spouses will get 25 percent off through Nov. 12. Home Depot: All veterans are eligible for a 10 percent discount on Veterans Day. Perhaps you want to get a head start on Christmas shopping or just want to buy a gift for a kid who you know. Toys "R" Us is giving 15% off all purchases to active military customers, reservists, retirees and dependents as part of their Military Appreciation Week.

Toys”R”Us: Available through Saturday, November 11, active military customers, reservists, retirees and dependents can take advantage of 15% off in-store purchases at Toys“R”Us with a valid Military ID. Also, Toys“R”Us will wrap-up Military Appreciation Week with a free Veteran’s Appreciation Day in-store event at stores nationwide on Saturday, November 11 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Then, if you are a blessed with children of your own or have the opportunity to act as a role model to somebody else’s kids, maybe think about bringing them to the most fun place in town – Chuck E. Cheese. There you can enjoy a free pizza.

Chuck E. Cheese: To thank service members past and present, on Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11, Chuck E. Cheese’s will be offering one free personal pizza to all active and retired military members at participating stores nationwide. Promo code #5500. For dinner, this list provides numerous options but it looks like the best deal is at Red Robin. All veterans can get a free burger as well as all you can eat steak fries.

Red Robin: All veterans and active duty military members a free Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries for Veteran’s Day. While these deals can never show the appreciation truly deserved for our nation’s heroes, it is one way that America’s businesses help give back. Surely, there are local small business deals out there as well.

If you are not a member of the military but are out to eat and see a veteran, consider paying it forward by assisting with the bill. Or, simply say thank you for their service. Indeed to all Veterans, thank you for your sacrifice and willingness to defend America from its enemies.

The following is a list of national chains that offer discounts to active-duty and retired military personnel around Veterans Day. List is not comprehensive; please contact individual restaurants to verify available discounts.

Applebee’s – Free entree for veterans. Simply show proof of military service, such as a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, DDT214 Citation or Commendation, a current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) or your veterans organization card.

Chili’s – Free entrees to veterans and active military on Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11, at participating Chili’s restaurants. The menu items being offered will include the following: Chicken crispers, chicken bacon ranch quesadillas, oldtimer with cheese, classic bacon burger and chili or soup and salad.

Denny’s – Free build your own Grand Slam for observed Veterans Day, Nov. 10, 5 a.m. to noon at participating locations. Valid for inactive and military personnel with a valid military ID. Includes choice of breakfast items such as two fluffy buttermilk or hearty wheat pancakes, two eggs cooked to order, two sizzling bacon strips or hash browns.

Golden Corral – Veterans and active-duty members get a free thank-you dinner as part of Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Night. The event will take place Nov. 13, 2017.

Little Caesar’s – Free lunch combo on Nov. 11 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., includes four slices of deep-dish pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product. Must show proof of service. Order must be placed before 2 p.m.

Olive Garden – Free entree from a special menu to active-duty military and veterans on Veterans Day. The special menu features six of Olive Garden’s most popular items. Entrees are served with unlimited homemade soup or famous house salad and warm garlic breadsticks.

Texas Roadhouse – Free lunch on Saturday, Nov. 11. Active, former or retired military can order from special Veterans Day menu. Lunch includes choice of ice tea, sweet tea, soft drink or coffee. Present military ID card, Veterans Affairs card or discharge papers. Dine-in only.

IHOP – Free order of Red, White and Blue Pancakes for retired and active-duty military personnel on Friday, Nov. 10, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at participating IHOP locations. Veterans and active-duty military can receive their free pancakes by showing proof of military service, including U.S. Uniformed Services ID card, U.S. Uniformed Services retired ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans organization card (American Legion, VFW, etc.), photograph of self in U.S. military uniform, wearing uniform, DD214, military dog tags, and citation or commendation

Outback Steakhouse – Free Bloomin’ Onion and beverages to guests with a military ID on Veterans Day. Military discount of 15 percent off total from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31 with valid military ID.
