I remember where I was when I got the news of the tragic event. In a bar in South Beach.
Wonder how the royal landscape would look today had she not met her untimely demise. What a class act she was.

In her hayday I would have wrecked Princess Di?

I would have slammed into her shite back in the day.

I didn't want to laugh, but I did.
Di knew how to get her swerve on.

What is this, an alternate universe? She's 36.

I remember my grandmother getting up at 2 in the morning to watch that wedding.
Let's not deify her. She was a stereotypical Sloane Ranger, not particularly well educated, and subject to most of the foibles and failings of British aristocrats of that era. She was barely out of her teens when she became the most famous woman in the world, and she was clearly in over her head. She was attracted to inappropriate men throughout her life, from Charles to the Egyptian dude she died with. OTOH she seemed to have a good heart, seemed sincere about doing some good in the world, and her kids have turned out about as well as could be expected.
Beautiful woman, though. No doubt she'd still be stunning at 54.
