I have always been curious about a constantly loaded mags and Spring Fatigue?
I’ve read that springs do not wear out from being under a constant tension, so there is no concern about mag springs. I’m not an expert tho.

Road rage incidents are why I carry. Seems the most likely reason is need it. And also the occasional crack head at a gas station while I’m pumping gas.

Most modern springs are very strong and durable. I only had one spring weaken - single stack .45ACP. Never had a Glock mag fail me in any way. However, I was taught to rotate my magazines after 6 months of continuous use. I would cycle the empty and full in spring and fall each year. We had lots of magazines. But now, I have become pretty lazy and not as attentive to this practice. Thanks for the reminder.

If you are near the North shore, let's go shooting.

Not yet - only pull it to kill someone my dad always said.

Lots of times. Twice on people.
The above is excluding time in Army.

You still got any leftovers from the military?

It’s always a good idea to have one.
Is Springfield Armory the “Ferrari” of hand guns? They seem up always cost so there just be a reason.

That would probably be Kimber, at least among the commonly owned brands.

Carry 2 daily for work--LEO--and have only drawn it when needed. In all these years I thank God i have never had to fire a round but the Taser is a different story LOL!

I conceal carry a G43. I was packing a car at 4am at my office at the airport when a male figure, blacked out clothing, hand in pockets and a Covid mask on, approached rapidly, disregarded commands to stop, then started to flank the car to gain access to me, I drew, stated I was going to shoot and he stopped and dropped his mask. It was another employee who wanted to scare me. He’s almost had several rounds in his chest,,,closest I ever came

Unfortunately yes. My neighbor and I got in a spat about lawn mowing on the boundary and he decided to threaten me by squirting the hose at me.

I keep an HK P30 on a magnet in my car, on the console by my right knee. One evening right at dark I was leaving a job in the “wrong part” of Monroe and had to stop at a convenience store for gas. Afterward I went inside for something then came back and got in my car. Before I could leave a tall heavy fellow walked straight up to my car door and pulled up his hoodie to show me a gun in his waistband. I rolled my window halfway down and told him if he makes a move to pull that pistol I’d empty mine. He looked down and could see my HK through the glass, pointed right at him. He nodded and walked off. I got the frick out of there watching my rear view the whole time. Heart was about to burst out of my chest. When I got home I reported the incident to OPSO, and I never went back to that store. I always carry in my car, loaded with one in the chamber and a second mag on another magnet. Thankful and not sure where the nerve came from but it was there when I needed it.

Not yet.
But I would rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

Couple years back I had a black man and his wife riding in a hoop-Dee almost to Shreveport on i49. I was driving along with the cruise set and had to pass him a couple times cause apparently his cruise didn’t work. Last time I passed him I put on my blinker to get over and once I do he gets over floor boards it and gets on the side of me and rolls his window down points his pistol and at me and says what’s up…. Then puts his gun down and sticks me the bird. So I grabbed my smith n Wesson 44mag model 29-2 nickel plated 6” barrel and hang it out the window towards his car. His wife screamed and tried to crawl in the back seat. He was trying to hide while he floored the car again to get away. He drove off like a bat out of hell and I never saw him again. And I laughed for the next 20 miles.
