In Haslet, and we were supposed to be getting some of it, but looks like it missed us for now.. Still a chance we get some bad storms later tonight, but looks like the worst went to Plano/Frisco/McKinney..

We didn’t get any hail in Southlake. Just rain. Thank god because I never pay close enough attention to the weather to think about getting cars in the garage until it’s too late usually.

I was just on the border of Southlake in Colleyville and got pea size hail for about 2 minutes. Nothing like they got in Plano. Took a video but no idea how to post it on here.

I like watching all of the backyard pool hail videos. Some of them have been pretty nuts.

This is when I get out the checkbook and start handing out checks.

However, don’t you TX guys have that percentage wind/hail deductible of your dwelling coverage when you file a claim?

People should have a 1% or 2% normally here. So if your house is $300,000, you would be out $3,000 or $6,000.

You can also have a fixed deductible for a few more $$.

Last hail storm on my house about 4 years ago came out to $25,000 in repairs.

Replaced roof with class IV hail resistent shingles last time, will see how they survived tomorrow.

Any of you Collin County people getting a new roof, look into the Class IV shingles, they lowered my house insurance premiums by several hundred dollars.

Hate to hear that. I may have to suit back up and go outside to check things out.
