My fiancé and I went to go see the lion king yesterday. 2:00 yesterday afternoon, packed with families (big mistake on my part). This I guess single mother and her two young children walk in and sit two rows in front of the two of us. The kids were moving around, being kinda loud, just being regular small kids.
Well around an hour, hour fifteen into the movie, plot’s picking up pace. Hakuna matata has been sung, the big brother who was probably four or five gets up and moves to the row in front of us two. He’s being louder, rambunctious, starts bouncing up and down in his chair making a loud metal clunking noise. After about two minutes of that, I had enough. Walked right behind the chair and when he made one more bounce, I caught the back of the chair when he was still in the air. When he came back down and he didn’t move, he turned around and I was about two or three inches from his face and whispered “go sit back by your mother, now.”
The kid’s eyes got about as big as saucers and he immediately went back and sat by his mother and didn’t move the rest of the movie.
I wanted to feel bad for the mother, but she was just sitting there letting it happen. People, control your fricking kids.

Don’t blame you one bit; mom should have told them to sit down and be quiet which is movie theater etiquette for all ages or we’re leaving. And then follow through if they don’t listen - they’ll learn.

Be at a children’s movie
Be annoyed when children make noise and act stupid in said movie

I expect kids to act like kids. I also expect parents to act like fricking parents.

Did you get applause from the audience?
I'd have golf clapped for sure.

Going into lion king at 2 on a Sunday is like going to chucky cheese. Just not a smart move.

It’s pretty funny, nobody else’s kid was acting like a little a-hole. Why should one person be allowed to ruin the movie for everybody else?
I expected kids to act like kids. I don’t mind em moving around in their seats, being otherwise kinda loud, I was a kid not too long ago. But this kid was being a complete little shite and making noises that the entire theater was hearing.

Yep but I’m failing to see what point you’re trying to make with that question.

There’s your problem. I don’t actually expect parents to parent. I think they should, but I just naturally assume that 75% of parents are shitty. It’s why I avoid places with kids

So you are bitching because one parent in a room of 100 plus people wasnt controlling their kid?
Jesus man. Maybe your Dad should have taught you not to be such a whiny arse bitch.

So if some kid was just screaming and carrying on, no big deal, just let it happen.

No, my dad taught me to not put up with bullshite.
I’m just confused as to why you think that people should put up with it.
