Had Covid about a month ago….coffee still doesn’t taste right

I always drink medium / dark roast, plain black coffee. Now it tastes so bland…even a couple of months removed from Covid.
This happen to anyone else? Does it come back?

Had covid last December. Coffee was a weird experience for a while. Once it started to taste good I was happy. But it smelled like methane for about 8 months.

A lot of people have said it can take a long time for senses to return.

I wake up everyday post-Covid and say “today will be the day I can smell/taste my coffee” and I haven’t been right, yet.

Beermoney is right. Several docs told me licking dog turds would help but I live next to a Chinese family so there really aren’t any dogs in the neighborhood.

Same.
I can taste sweet and spicy stuff a lot better. For some reason, a flavor as bold as coffee isn’t registering.

This should not worry you. It is when the ham and roast beef still taste funny.
Is it bad or just my taste buds? Especially after losing power and not able to get to your place for 3 days. Could be a quick trip to the hospital if you aren't careful.

Mine has been like that for over a year slowly learning the smells again. Still weird most of the time. My sickness was very mild but smell got wrecked.

It does come back. It may take a few weeks though.
