“For $1500 you can make that a 4-wheel drive.”
Um..., no.

As someone who's taken a lot of classes on offroad recovery and taught a few myself- Never pull in reverse! The gears in your differential are not designed/engineered/cut for that kind of load.
Never use a tow ball for recovery.
If you don't have designed recovery points on your vehicle but do have a receiver, remove the hitch from the receiver, insert the loop of the strap into the receiver and insert the hitch pin through the loop.
Also, it's important to use the right tool for job. That is not a snatch strap in the video. It's designed for static pulls/lifts.
I'm glad no one was around when the bumper came flying off.
I doubt the frame is hurt other than the holes being egged. The brackets that hold bumpers on are made of shite these days. It's all designed to fold up to protect occupants in the event of a crash/collision.

Baw went dynamic because he is young and stupid. He is a little smarter this evening than he was last week.

Doing field work in swamps as one of my first jobs out of college, I saw that one coming a mile away. Kid was an idiot on several fronts.
1). There's on solid anchor point on the bumper.
2). You only have 1 speed in reverse. If you need to start in a lower or higher gear you don't have any options.
Next time, back in. Hook up to the frame of the trailer hitch (or just the frame and not the ball) and pull them out slowly.

Nah, he succeeded in that part. The cost of success was high, though.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling really dumb, I go to the internet to make myself feel better. That video is an example of what makes me feel better about myself.
