I grew up in Woodgate Estates off Highland, and if there was so much as a misdialed 911, three or four cops showed up ready for action

Still that way.

You don't think, Sherwood Forest, Old Jefferson and Shenandoah, just to name a few, are turning for the worse?

SE BR is pretty clear from the garbage other than Gardere... luckily for us, it generally stays away

Gardere is more SW BR. I consider SE BR mostly east of Airline like Tiger Bend, Hoo Shoo Too, George O'Neal, Jones Creek etc

Absolutely. A good friends grandmother still lives in Sherwood Forest. Refuses to leave. Seems like every time I go and visit her, it's gotten worse.

The neighborhood itself is still ok but it's surrounded by declining areas.

Oh, I get what you're saying, and I agree with the exception of Shenandoah... my point is that there are still some areas that don't have a problem with crime

Ya, you're right... but to the point, all those places are still pretty good when it comes to crime... I guess the idea is the more East you go, the less crime you run into

Yeah I live in SE BR and it's not bad here. I'm not sure what it will look like in 10 years though

I grew up splitting time between my mom in Oak Hills and my dad off of Prescott Rd... needless to say, Highland Rd area between Siegen and Bluebonnet is where I decided to live as an adult

BR is going to be a lost cause for a long time. Sad

Because of 4 random gunshots near the overpass?

Get a grip

It's nuts out there... my dad's house has been broken into 3 times... one time, somebody stole a 90hp 2-stroke Yamaha of the back of his boat... later that year, somebody stole his riding lawnmower... I remember being scared out of my mind many times by sketchy people doing weird things like staring my dad and I down at a stop light

CSB- people would see my dad and i in his truck and cut us off in traffic or other random shite like not go on a green light, look in the mirror and laugh, and wait till it was yellow then floor it so we had to wait for the next light... one day he bought an old caddy sedan de ville and started driving it around instead of the truck... Never had a single problem like that again it was the damnedest thing

I was on the ivars front porch all night, not sure what you heard or what someone reported but there was zero gun shots

And not sure what 2nd district confirmed because there wasn't a single cop in the area during that entire span

How was the crowd for the game?

I left the game in the middle of the 4th and it surprisingly wasn't busy at all. The gf wanted to go for a drink so we popped in and it was manageable

The younger crowd started to come in around 1 so we dipped. Ivars isn't the bar it used to be

I guess I wasn't there for the gun shots but I'd bet a lot that nobody actually busted some shots

The neighborhood bar feeling has long been lost I used to be able to walk in solo and run into several people I know. Now I walk in with a group, fight the crowd, and dont know anyone. Maybe I'm just getting old
