The main thing I remember about shopping in the 70s is S&H green stamps.

Spend a lot of time filling out those books.

Making it. A bear tried to keep me from going to work today, but we came to an agreement.

I almost think dealing with a bear would be preferable than dealing with our old hood these days, at least on my side of the river, drove through there a couple of days ago, pretty sad looking

It is much easier. Bears are predictable, unless you do something stupid youre likely to be fine.

I enjoy watching them. My wife parks too close to the dumpster on the street though so they tend to congregate around the car.

my wife would be out there trying to feed them and talk to them, she thinks she's Dr./ Doolittle or something

Maybe once. The first time one huffs and pops those jaws, she will have a different perspective.

These black bears can get up to 600 lbs, the size of a lower 48 grizzley..

I'd soil myself, she's turning into her mother, I think she really believes she has some sort of connection to animals and they communicate with her

that's one thing I've noticed about our grocery stores, there isn't one place where I can get everything I need, I usually need to make more than one stop, especially if I'm cooking something special

It's taken me 8 months to be able to grocery shop in Germany in under 2 hours. Google Lens Translate is a technological marvel but the Germans play some sort of cruel joke on us foreigners and build their grocery stores so you can't get cell service inside. I have a pantry full of shite that wasn't what I intended to buy.

We were not allowed to have sugar as kids.

Cheerios, corn or bran flakes were the only cereals we had.

No sodas and drank unsweet tea. Mom would buy sugar free kool-aid and it was so nasty we wouldn't drink it.

I've only had 1 cavity and I'm 53 brother and sister are the same way.

We had regular meals, absolutely no snacking.

Our Kool-aid did have sugar, and she would buy candy once in a while but we were outside if the sun was up, burning it off.
