Add Holy Cross to the list even though it wasn't in da Parish. It deserves at least honorary Parish status.

Be careful how you act down there or you might find yourself in a crab trap.

BTW, we don't "come out der" to fish, we're in the big frickin camp you're launching next to and my boat is on the lift under it... podna.

And those areas you're fishing in are on my lease or leased by someone I know.

A college friend once told me, the greatest thing about being from Chalmette, is being FROM Chalmette.

I get that feeling most of the time.

I head straight to Oak River from Sweetwater. I pass no camps but do have to dodge the imbeciles who think the only place to park and get out and bullshite is in the middle of the fricking hwy. on the way to the launch.

Looking back in it and it was a good place to grow up. Most don't realize how close we are to the city. Wish the old parish was around. These days I am basically only there to ride in knights of nemesis.

This was so true. I lived on Angelique until I was 8. I was playing basketball with some older kids in my parents driveway. I remember I just got my chain net. Well, I told one of them my family was going on a vacation the following week. My mom was in the yard and overheard me telling them this. She came to the front and told everyone I had to come inside to get ready so they would leave. When I went inside, She yelled at me and told me those boys were going to steal from us when we were gone. When we got back from vacation, not only was the house broken into but those assholes stole my net. The house went up for sale that week.

shite sometimes less than that. A good friend lived in arabi near the barracks and we would be there in no time.

Yep. I lived in Carolyn Park and could be in the Quarter in less than 10 minutes if you hit the lights right down St. Claude.
