Zimmer is not an A/C guy. He works for Freeman Decoration Company.

Did marry a down the roader though.

Being an Arabi guy anything past Murphy was "down the road" for me.

With that said I married a down the roader also.

My first house was in Story Park, and then I moved to Lexington 57 days before Katrina.

Used to get our cold cuts from the "Chateau" on judge Perez in Arabi. And get my tires fixed by Joey at the Texaco station.

If you weren't getting them from Armonds, you weren't doing it right.

That was our "go to" place to get beer under age in the late 80's.

What can I say berg, it was a great place to grow up back then. It's such a shame to see what it has become today. Don't get me wrong, it's come a long way since Katrina but it will never be the same. My mom and brother both moved back and their neighborhoods couldn't be more different now.

Early to mid-90's it was the Nickel Pickle in Village Square or the Circle K by the hospital on Genie.

Used to hit that up too, hanging by my friend's on Prince.
Another older friend of ours turned 21, and the chick behind the counter couldn't do the math(after that law changed) and refused to sell him beer. And he was 21.
I still vividly picture that conversation.

Her:"Sorry, you were born November 1967, the sign says you must be born before September to buy alcohol."

Him: "But ma'am...I'm 21...NOW."(this was in November or December after he turned 21.)

Any of you ever looked up that video from back around '82 posted on youtube?

Someone drove all over the Parish with a video camera. Awesome stuff. Will blow your minds.

The last video I saw was from the news. They were going down my grandpas street on Laplace, but instead of a car they were filming from a boat.
