No car wreck
The news stories said that the grandmother was in the car and the grandfather wasn't. Maybe they were just getting there or just leaving.
The truck did hit several vehicles in his path.

We were out there last night when it went down. Chaos started right outside of Common Grounds, and driver continued up 4th street hitting another car, then finally hitting the car with the fatalities on opposite end of the block from Common Grounds.
The daughter came run toward common grounds while good Samaritans ran to help. She was obviously and understandable hysterical. She was in shock, and kept saying her dad had just gotten out of the car. She didn’t say anything about her mom, only that her dad had been hit, and she could see him like that.
The area was more crowded than normal because of the kids mardi gras parade earlier in the day.
Terrible evening…. Prayers to the family.

She lost her son and both parents in a span of less than 2 months.
Awful.
Awful.

Doesn’t make it any less tragic, but the daughter that was there last night was the Aunt of the Bourbon Street victim.

This! Could’ve been much worse with the pub crawl taking place and walking through that intersection. Kids and I just crossed 4th St. minutes before it happened.

So drunk drivers = muslim terrorists?
Not at all.
Terrorists at least kill for political reasons, no matter how misguided or possibly evil.
Drunk drivers kill for literally no reason. Sometimes just because they drank enough to kill the lights upstairs but not enough to pass out and go to sleep.
