Is it really? Do we know that for a fact for kids? Here's a thought: how many times has your child been exposed to COVID since the start of the pandemic? Has she been sick? Does she have any existing health conditions? I honestly don't care what you do with your child. If you honestly think it's the safest route for her, then that's you. But I don't see how anyone could come to that conclusion if they are being rational, unless their child has some kind of existing condition that makes them more susceptible to COVID. But then you would have already been taking every precaution possible, including limiting her contact with just about anyone.
it’s virtue signaling via his child. there’s no logic behind it otherwise

Even the one everyone is getting now isn't 100% approved, it has the EUA tag on it. It takes years before a real approval is granted.
Not wanting to open the Pfizer vs Comirnaty debate I assume you are talking about the vaccine with the trade name Comirnaty. Comirnaty has a full BL (real approval) for a 2 dose regimen for ages 16 and up. The 2 EUAs that is remains under are for 3rd dose boosters in certain age and health classes and for children from 12-15. To be clear Comirnaty has "real approval" for 2 doses ages 16 and up.
This isn't to say data is not monitored and the FDA could remove approval at any time, just like they can for any other drug on the market whether it has been approved for a month or 20 years.

What about the Pfizer? Does it have "real approval"?

The biggest potential unintended consequence as a result of mandates for any age is that if we ever find ourselves in a much worse pandemic there will be a significant number of people who will be much more likely to refuse any measures designed to prevent the spread of infection.
I disagree, simply because most of the people resisting the mandates right now are doing so because they don't make sense for a virus with the survival rate of COVID.
If this thing was killing (God forbid) 10% or more of those that contract it, I doubt there would be must resistance at all. Say Ebola starts reeking havoc across the globe--yeah, people would take that shite seriously.
