Getting out and hustling money in this way is despicable, but it isn't lazy.
It is lazy that they aren't willing to promote an activity like a car wash or bake sale. Yes, it is lazy.
We wouldn't have any great cheese movies from the 80s with the current attitude. No skiing to save the rec center. No dance offs. Just a guy on the corner with a bucket!

Did they say how long she stays out there per day? Seven days a week?
I was trying to replace my AC compressor belt at AutoZone on College/Perkins years back and a homeless guy offered to fix it for $20. In the course of him fixing it he explained to me the spots to beg in the case I was ever homeless and said he pulled in $250-300/day.
At the time I was a poor college student making less than that in a week.
