partially. I think a bigger reason is for people like the OP who bilk insurance companies while they themselves are making 6 figures. wrong on top of wrong.

How am I a dick? Really? I don't have a job because I choose to try and find other employment because I want to stay close to my son.

I work in communications sales, (networks and network equipment). I got laid off in late 08, (company went bankrupt). No severance, no nothing. My manager knew it was coming and warned me, so I had time to look around. I went to work for the state, just to have a steady check. It sucked, but it was a check and I was thankful for it. Got laid off again this past August, (nationwide reduction in force). I went to work for a customer in November. Getting laid off the second time was a blessing. My new gig pays me more money and I have virtually no stress. Good luck to you, get your name out there. Do not, and I repeat do not cower in the corner. You will be fine, but you have to get your name in the market.

Come on man. Ask BCBS what they are doing with that billion dollar surplus and then tell me I'm wrong for trying to get them to pay something remotely close to what it takes to employ a Dr so that people that can't afford it get the chance to not have financial burden for something that was out of their control.

You're an asshat. Your ex will take care of your kid. Probably better for us all.

Take that MBA and do something worthwhile when you get a grip.

Sounds like you need to make up your mind. Are you required to be near your son, or just looking for fringe benefits?

Sucks that it came to that, but our operations were consolidated out of state and I would have had the opportunity to go but I can't leave my son. No decision to be made in that regard.

Hopefully everything works out. Worst case scenario, you leave to foot the bills, and his mother raises him...That doesn't sound too bad.

Am I required to be near my son? Is this a real fricking question? Are you a parent?

I'm seriously lost at some of the responses in here.
Mother fricking lost. I will do lawn care if it means I stay close to my son. If I don't find something that may well be my career.

Who knows. Either way I'll be around

You seem like the a-hole that WOULDN'T do lawn care to be around his son.

You figure it out. No one here messed up your life. Married wrong woman. Bills insurance maximum as a high point.

How can I blame Obamacare when you specifically stated you make sure to bill insurance companies the maximum allowed. Find a new job. Find a better way for yourself.

id take it you'd charge the highest rate out there to cut someone's grass, just because little Johnny down the street mowed his parents' yard for free.

Sound like this is one of the "middlemen" Obama will squeeze out on the way to single payer universal healthcare. Obama wont be needing no six figure billing intermediaries.

Best of luck to you as well. If you get the chance, choose child over career.
