Make a Nyquilbomb. Jager or whiskey in the middle, Nyquil on the outside.
You'll sleep like a corpse.

I usually do well with melatonin, but if I must sleep, like when traveling to a big time zone difference or on a plane, Ambien does the trick. I normally only take 1/2 a pill

With trazadone do you take sparingly? There aren't withdrawals or anything right

Ambien works for me. I take it only before a work night.
Benadryl or Doxyalamine work too, but leave me with that hangover feeling for at least 2 hours the next day.
I've never had rebound insomnia on days off or the sleep walking or dreams etc.
It ain't for everyone, because some of these side effects are very real, and some can NOT sleep without it.
Many people swear by Melatonin? Ive never tried it.

I take 1/4 of a dose of Tylenol PM often and it helps me fall asleep without the hangover effect. The dose it 2 tablets which is crazy because that would knock me out for 2 days. Take a half of one and you'll be fine with at least 5-6 hours of sleep.

Otherwise known as traza-bone. You'll wake up with a pup tent every damn time when you wake up to piss on the ceiling. Also, makes you hungry as hell right before it puts you to sleep.

That's a bummer that melatonin hasn't worked. Have you tried doubling up on the 5mg formula that is half rapid release and long-acting?
Rx: Trazadone, amitriptyline, hydroxyzine, doxepin, mirtazapine; last resort low dose quetiapine, olanzapine.
While not addictive, these rx options are all serotonergic and stopping them may cause withdrawals if used regularly.
OTC: diphenhydramine, doxylamine, chlorpheniramine
The OTC options can cause hangovers, urinary retention, constipation, dry mouth/eyes.
Sorry for your troubles and good luck

OTC sleep aids are basically Benadryl. That might help. Exercise helps me the most ... but you're already doing that.... do you have a high stress job?

Just take a melatonin and a lowball of scotch.
Posted on 6/4/17 at 2:59 pm to GermantownTiger
Increase the melatonin dosage.

It's not addictive to me. One month supply usually lasts me 2-3 months
