Any of y’all had to spend the night in jail in Gordo?
One time in college me and a couple friends went through there headed to the SEC baseball tournament. We got pulled over, and every single one of us were put in handcuffs hauled to jail. They threw the book at us, but couldn’t give the driver a DUI since her BAC wasn’t high enough.
We learned the hard way not to drive though Gordo if we could help it, especially if you have alcohol in the vehicle.
The inmates told us that they were basically just pulling over people with out of state license plates because they knew it was the tournament weekend. Of course they through everything out in court, but we didn’t get our bail money back.

No, but my high school got dicked royally in a state semifinal football game against Gordo. Still a little pissed about it to this day, if we're being honest.

Went hunting there the week after Bear Bryant resigned, with an LSU sticker on my car. Everyone was as nice as they could be.

That's par for the course in Spitchaw, AL. Had something similar happen to me 15 years ago in the same area.
EDIT: Except they never took us to jail.

Unfortunately you gave to drive thru Golden Meadow, La. to get to Grand Isle for the Tarpon Rodeo.
Pretty much the same, thriving on speeding tickets.
