I think O did what he could, he refused to make the big mistake to give bama the game. You don't beat bama by going gun slinger, especially when that isn't your deal. Our oline should be wearing skirts until the arky game

Bama was not going to let Fournette beat them. They would have lost the game any other way but they were not going to let LSU beat them with the run.

We needed to throw the ball down the field to win that game. Against those young DB's that was the recipie for success. Only problem with that is, Etling had no time and coach O didn't call very many long ball plays.

the issue was grimes girls couldn't hold a block. we can't attack deep because 1. Etling has a noodle for an arm, which is fine vs everyone but bama. You can't beat bama if you can't throw a ball on a rope into a window.

2. we had no time to go deep because our oline plays like a gaping vagina

O went with the best chance of winning which was time of possession and field position.

Like I said. You can create mismatch by putting Jeter and smith on outside and blocking small DBs. Make LBS respect that play and not shoot gaps so quickly on running plays. Heck, you can even quick shotgun play action out of that concept to suck in the backers

well the best thing to do is stop buga, other teams can try it and Etling can actually beat them. The problem is he can't beat bama. their dline and linebackers are too big and strong and they don't miss tackles in space. Other teams we probably break some of those short passes for long gains.

Im still on the O train, but he has to prove that he can bounce back from this with 3 wins. I believe he has a good plan on who he wants and what will make us great again. The real issue is can he handle adversity like last night. Les couldn't and it cost him his job.

those are all great ideas, but it wasn't going to work with our line playing as bad as they did. That is a recruiting flaw and a s&c flaw. It really messes shite up when the dline is pancaking the oline right on the snap. its impossible to really do anything.

Yep I agree that bomb etling threw in the second half to stretch the field went 35 yards

I agree I thought a turnover would be the difference not in this one. Many said our OL had to play their best game.....they played terrible

Shotgun quick out can work even with oline issues. No need to be so dramatic. I know that is your thing, but come on

Those do work when you have a non noodle arm for a qb. Etling has a noodle for an arm. He is best when he can just float a ball in a spot. Bama isn't being beaten by a qb that just floats a ball in. you have to have a rifle for the quick out to work against a D like bama.

Our plan could have been better but I think we played it safe based off 1. our D was lights out. 2. the way bama has been smashing people is they panic and let their D score. We weren't going to do that. I honestly think Harris would have been the better match up vs Bama. It comes down to a Lee vs JJ thing, most teams Lee is the better option, vs Bama its more Harris

Sorry, but I think Harris would have been running around like a scared rabbit. Not good under pressure. Also, too much running LF7 over and over again when it was clearly not working. Reminded me of Les' game plan. I'm just really sad today.

Harris has a better arm and better deep ball than Etling. Etling does a better job reading progressions and making the correct read and in most cases can get our guys the ball. I thought we should have ran Etling more like we did on that draw, but the refs are going to let shite heads like fosters spear him while he is sliding so that probably ends in him being knocked out.

I thought we should have retaliated on hurts for the late hit on etling but its whatever.
