I think that's the main problem in America these days Fish.
We went away from family and mom at home with kids to buying toys.
If not toys for kids- toys for mom and dad. More toys, too many toys.

Its below freezing. Winter. Dark. Do not like it dark in the morning. Glad the german pagans invented christmas trees. Yule, i guess. We have one. Bright with light. Upbeat, with presents underneath. Snowplows on the roads hereabouts.

The book is called the scary states of America. It's probably more of a middle school/jr. High reading level but I was a teenager at that time.
