Mine is not insomnia. It is more of only getting sleep in shorter and shorter stints

Nothing wrong with a little time alone.

That’s probably more what mine is than true insomnia as well.
Good morning, LC, fishfighter.

Morning everyone Almost done with this night shift. Then it’s beer drinking time.

Rouge and AT, how many hours of sleep do y'all think y'all are getting a night total. Longest stretch?
Posted on 5/19/18 at 5:07 am to LCA131
It varies. I might get 3 or 4 hours, be up for a couple of hours, sleep for about 2 more and then get up for the day.

5-6 hours, but it varies. Usually, whenever I wake up, I’m done sleeping.

That sounds like all three of our totals aren't that different, but we do get there in different ways. Five or six hours is all I ever seem to get. I enjoy getting up early though and set my alarm. Sometimes all turn it off and grab some more.
I will say this for me though, I'm very fortunate in that I can sleep about anywhere, about anytime. I don't have to have it quiet or dark sitting up, lying down doesn't matter.

I’m envious. It has to be dark and quiet for me. And it takes about an hour to go to sleep. And once I wake up I’m up. I can drink till 2 in the morning. Don’t matter I’ll be up at 7:30 or so

That must be nice. I wish that I could.

It is nice most of the time. If there's a downside to it though, it is that when I'm a little bit drowsy and it's very tough to stay awake. Say at dinner, Church places where I really shouldn't nod off... or driving.
Like now... set the alarm at 4:30 to roll out of Atlanta to head back. Wide Awake as soon as I get up get in the car and it's been an hour and 45 minutes I'm starting to feel drowsy. I think it's time for a biscuits and coffee
