I think the Army made a shitty choice by spending a half a billion dollars to transition to a Sig from the M9

Read the OB thread on it

I love Sigs and I'm glad they beat out the Glock, but I mean Beretta put out a M9A3 that was cheaper to make than anything they had to choose from.

No, they're good at that one. I'm looking forward to the Sig TBH.

The M9, even the new A3, would still have issues in the desert.

SOF have used Sig for years and none of the long tabbers I know have ever complained about it.

I have nothing against Sig at all as the 226 is a firearm I will purchase in the future. With the 320 have a safety? I think so which is dumb

In regards to the safety lever, it's all about training.

All SM SHOULD be able to unholster and be ready to fire in less than 3 seconds which includes going from safe to fire.

Same as conducting Ready Up Drills with the M4A1.
