That's awesome, dude. Although "wants to" and "he bought it for me" are two different things.

Trust me. Brain was processing all the ways this was gonna not be real.

He wants me to figure out how to structure it.

That’s a lot of acreage to maintain.

Will cost a small fortune. You’ll have to work forever for that guy just to do it.

Wait a damn second.

Your boss is just buying 70 acres as a charity act?

This just doesn’t add up or you need a serious pay bump my friend

This is no small thing for sure. This is six figures type charity. Just $5k an acre puts it at $350k.

Maybe he’s let him frick his wife? Being a good employee doesn’t do it.

Love hearing a good story like this. Boss is a good man and wants you to know how much he respects you and values you. That means you are a good man too. Congrats!

Essentially, an unexpected bonus. I think the point was he wants to give me a raise and this is how. Somehow he likes this way better.

Better than one if we can make it work on the books correctly. Going to chat with my accountant later today.

Made the verbal offer 5 minutes ago. He said could have me the cash whenever I need it.

A while back, he lost almost everything when the house market crashed. Land is something that is very meaningful to him.

This is great news. I am happy for you.

Hard work, punctuality, people skills and just plain old common sense paid off for you.

Your boss and you are great men.
