Been wanting to get golf lessons in Baton Rouge and golf Tec keeps popping up just wondering if anyone has ever gotten lessons or heard about this place and if it's worth it

I just finished up with my last lesson out of my 4 lesson pack. My coach was very good, he knew his stuff and really helped my mechanics. The facility is nice but a little small. Be willing to pay for those lessons though, they are not cheap.

I don't understand why someone would take a lesson from golftec when your can get a lesson from Manzella, Leitz, or Noel for about the same price.

I like the tv screen at my feet. Can see my setup and pause my swing and play it to see what I'm doing wrong. Bought a 10 pack and so far it's money well spent, I never would have been able to fix and anyone not breaking down swing with video and slow motion would not have either. Like the noise sensors as well.

Who's a good pro to get lessons from in BR? What does he roughly charge?

I know that the pro at The Island, Chris Burkstaller, has the full video set up. Is the Golf Tec place indoors? I could never get the feel of a real shot hitting into a net or a screen. I have to watch the ball flight in real time. I definitely don't trust those monitors that simulate the ball flight. I don't care what the lasers and computer say.

I agree, waste of time and $, go get the correct length and lies and learn to get it in the hole, if you want lessons get them on things from 100 yards and in on the golf course, course management lessons go a long way as well.

Why they make chocolate and vanilla. I think it's great having the isolation in the room and not out on the range with my idiot buddies and all the hoopla that goes on at my club. I haven't swung more than a 7 iron at golftec. I get more accomplished there. It's $125 for the initial lesson/intro. If you like it, stick with it, if not, bail.
