Funny that you say that because my wife literally just said that.
He went away very peacefully with me by his side talking to him the entire time.

My wound is still fresh as I lost my 8 year old gsp to lymphoma in June. Love him well, but let him go when you k ow it is time. Follow your gut and live with the consequences, but be present whatever that means in your situation. Then let yourself mourn after.

My 9 year old daughter climbed in our bed at midnight crying for almost an hour once she realized she will never see our dog again :(
