The ones I made yesterday I had to make with butter instead of shortening, thus they were a bit dry. But the tiny cubes of sharp cheddar cheese throughout made up for it.

Paw paw squirrel cut the recipe out of the advocate many years ago. Bisquick, sour cream, ginger ale, and butter. My family has eaten them forever. Many recipes online now. Most use 7up or sprite instead of ginger alwe now.

I've heard of using 7up in a cake recipe. Never tried it though. Sounds interesting.
