You don't have to tell us on here but I hope it had a good outcome.

If mine works I will tell a small number of people irl (NOT TD)...otherwise everyone else will know at 12 weeks.

Your wife hate the PIO as much as I do?

You gave her the PIO shots? My husband does. Even though I'm a nurse the thought of giving myself an IM shot in the hip makes me want to cry. I will admit I'm not that strong of a woman. Major props to women that do give it to themselves though.

Mine are at night. If my husband has to go out of town again for work soon...I'm straight up driving to my work at 9pm and getting one of my former coworkers on nights to give my shot for me. I'll just make sure it is a nurse that I never had any drama with in the past.

I offered to help but she insisted

Damn that's impressive.

I do know some women think since they are giving it they have more control so I can see that.

I just know I cannot. The SQ ones in the belly...I can give those all the time and not blink. Just give me an ice cube to ice the area and I'm fine.

We had the nurse draw circles on me with a sharpie on each side so he knows where he can safely give the shots at. When it starts to fade we draw it back in.

I bought this as well and it actually helps a lot...

It's a Buzzy. The bug part vibrates when you turn it on.
The wings are actually mini ice packs that you freeze before you use it. Developed by a pediatrician to help prevent pain from shots. But have read many women doing IVF swear by them. My husband calls it my ladybug vibrator(the combination of vibration and cold help to block your pain receptors)...but I don't care.

oh damn, yea I don't think we knew about any of those things to reduce pain

She just got all the stuff out every night and starting sticking

I knew she was pretty desensitized to a lot of stuff being a nurse herself but I was very impressed

We are going to a friend's house tomorrow night for a game night. So he's gonna have to give my shot in their guest bathroom. I will have to show our friends Buzzy before hand so they won't be wondering "wtf" when they hear a loud buzzing noise coming from the bathroom. Thankfully the hostess has done IVF twice so she will understand.
